Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert is responsible for creating a memorable dining experience by delivering excellent service throughout the guest’s meal. This role involves setting tables, serving guests, ensuring smooth communication with the kitchen, and maintaining a clean and professional work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Set and arrange tables to company standards before guest arrival.
- Take orders, deliver food and beverages, and ensure accuracy in service.
- Communicate with the kitchen to address any guest requests or special needs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, including refilling beverages, resetting tables, and cleaning up after guest departures.
- Assist with inventory control, ensuring proper stock levels of supplies and linens.
- Handle guest complaints and provide immediate solutions to enhance the overall guest experience.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, assisting in other areas when necessary.
- Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform standards.
- Stand, walk, and move continuously during shifts, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
- Participate in regular team meetings and training to improve service quality.
Requirements:
- Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a guest-first mindset.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks.
- Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a positive, friendly demeanor.
- Supervisory Experience: None.
- License/Certification: Food safety certification preferred but not mandatory.
