Job Summary:
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving a variety of drinks according to standard recipes while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. This role includes interacting with guests, handling transactions, managing inventory, and ensuring excellent service in compliance with company standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve beverages, including cocktails, wine, and beer, based on standardized recipes.
  • Set up and maintain the cleanliness of the bar area, including tables, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure proper stock levels of glassware, ice, garnishes, and bar supplies, and replenish as needed.
  • Process customer payments, including cash, credit cards, and other methods, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including counting cash, securing the bar area, and completing necessary paperwork.
  • Handle and serve bottles of wine and champagne, following standard procedures.
  • Wash glassware and remove used items from bar tops and tables, placing them in designated cleaning areas.
  • Anticipate the needs of guests, addressing their requests promptly and ensuring their satisfaction throughout their experience.
  • Follow all safety and hygiene protocols, ensuring a clean, organized, and safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow company policies on personal hygiene and grooming.
  • Build positive relationships with team members and contribute to team goals.
  • Comply with company standards and quality expectations, including serving sizes, garnishes, and drink presentation.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of bartending experience, including knowledge of drink preparation and customer service.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of alcoholic beverages, cocktail recipes, and drink-serving techniques.
    • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
    • Ability to handle transactions and payments accurately.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders simultaneously.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and handle a variety of physical tasks, including bending, stooping, and reaching.
    • Ability to move through confined spaces and work on uneven or slippery surfaces.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must follow company safety and hygiene procedures.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
    • No supervisory experience required.
