Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert ensures guests have a memorable dining experience by providing attentive, personalized service. This role involves setting tables, communicating with the kitchen, serving guests, and maintaining cleanliness. The Guest Service Expert creates a welcoming environment and contributes to guest satisfaction through excellent service and attention to detail.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome guests, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Set up tables according to company standards, ensuring cleanliness and proper presentation.
  • Take orders, serve food and beverages, and ensure timely service.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to ensure accuracy and speed in order fulfillment.
  • Maintain cleanliness in dining and service areas, including tables, chairs, and utensils.
  • Monitor guests' needs, anticipate requests, and provide prompt, courteous service.
  • Handle guest payments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing transactions.
  • Assist with restocking supplies, including utensils, glassware, and napkins.
  • Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Support the team in achieving service goals by working collaboratively and assisting other team members when needed.
  • Complete additional duties as assigned by supervisors to ensure smooth restaurant operations.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of related work experience; previous experience in a guest service or restaurant role is a plus.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
    • Customer-focused with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to stand, walk, and move for extended periods, including walking on uneven or slippery surfaces.
    • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Must be able to bend, twist, and reach overhead and below the knees.
  • Additional Requirements:
    • Must maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company uniform standards.
    • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
    • No supervisory experience required.
