Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team at the Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Qaryat al Beri, Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences by preparing creative beverages, engaging with customers, and maintaining high service standards in a luxury setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and specialty drinks, tailored to guest preferences.
  • Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations and enhance their overall experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Ensure timely and accurate service during busy periods, keeping high standards of efficiency and hospitality.
  • Monitor bar inventory, control stock levels, and coordinate reordering of supplies.
  • Create and experiment with new drink recipes and signature cocktails to innovate the menu.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior bar staff or assistants to maintain service consistency.
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism, working with management to resolve issues.
  • Follow responsible service of alcohol guidelines and ensure guest safety at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Lobby Lounge team and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven bartending experience in a luxury or high-end hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of spirits, liquors, wines, and mixology techniques.
  • Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to engage and connect with guests.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bartending certifications or specialized training in mixology or related fields is preferred.

 

Level of Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional bartending or hospitality certifications are an advantage.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

 

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 12-18 months of bartending experience in a luxury or high-end establishment.
