Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Bartender to join our team at the Lobby Lounge, Shangri-La Qaryat al Beri, Abu Dhabi. The successful candidate will deliver exceptional guest experiences by preparing creative beverages, engaging with customers, and maintaining high service standards in a luxury setting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a wide range of beverages, including cocktails, wines, and specialty drinks, tailored to guest preferences.
- Engage with guests to provide personalized recommendations and enhance their overall experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
- Ensure timely and accurate service during busy periods, keeping high standards of efficiency and hospitality.
- Monitor bar inventory, control stock levels, and coordinate reordering of supplies.
- Create and experiment with new drink recipes and signature cocktails to innovate the menu.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior bar staff or assistants to maintain service consistency.
- Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and complaints with professionalism, working with management to resolve issues.
- Follow responsible service of alcohol guidelines and ensure guest safety at all times.
- Collaborate with the Lobby Lounge team and other departments to enhance the overall guest experience.
Requirements:
- Proven bartending experience in a luxury or high-end hospitality setting.
- Strong knowledge of spirits, liquors, wines, and mixology techniques.
- Excellent customer service skills, with an ability to engage and connect with guests.
- Attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Bartending certifications or specialized training in mixology or related fields is preferred.
Level of Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional bartending or hospitality certifications are an advantage.
Work Hours:
- Full-time position with flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum of 12-18 months of bartending experience in a luxury or high-end establishment.
