Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and service-oriented Food and Beverage Attendant for Shawafel at Atlantis, The Palm. This role involves supporting the waitstaff in delivering high-quality service, ensuring guest satisfaction, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You will play a key part in the dining experience, working in a fast-paced, luxury hotel setting.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist waiters in providing exceptional service, including food and drink delivery.
  • Ensure orders are served accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain knowledge of the food menu and provide information to guests regarding ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and prompt service.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness in the dining area, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.
  • Ensure proper handling and setup of dining equipment, utensils, and serving areas.
  • Respond to guest requests promptly and courteously, escalating any major issues to the management team.
  • Support in setting up and clearing tables, ensuring a neat and organized dining environment.
  • Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment, and basic food preparation tasks.
  • Participate in training and team meetings to stay updated on menu changes and service protocols.

 

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a luxury hotel or high-end restaurant.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of food handling and hygiene standards.
  • A positive attitude and commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service techniques.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as carrying trays and setting tables.

 

Level of Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality training is a plus.

Work Hours:
Full-time position with shifts that may include evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Experience in Months:
12-24 months of experience in food and beverage service, preferably in luxury or fine dining environments.
