Job Summary:
We are seeking a Revenue Management Executive to oversee the revenue management operations at a strategic business unit (SBU) level. This role involves implementing effective inventory, pricing, and product enhancement plans based on demand forecasts, historical data, and trends to maximize revenue and profitability. The Revenue Management Executive will also support the Manager/Associate Director of Revenue Management in day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities:
- Manage daily revenue management efforts, including inventory control and pricing strategies.
- Develop and implement revenue optimization strategies based on demand forecasts and market trends.
- Monitor and adjust pricing to ensure competitiveness and profitability.
- Support revenue forecasting with an accuracy margin of 5% to meet financial targets.
- Contribute to achieving budgeted revenue targets and year-over-year growth in revenue generation index (RGI).
- Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast demand and recommend adjustments to product offerings.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as Sales and Catering, to ensure cohesive revenue strategies.
- Provide training to colleagues on revenue management systems and best practices.
- Assist in monitoring competitor pricing and market conditions to adjust strategy as needed.
- Prepare reports and presentations on revenue performance for senior management review.
Requirements:
- Proficient in revenue management systems such as Opera, Synxis, or similar Central Reservation Systems (CRS).
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with a working knowledge of algebra and statistical analysis.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of group and catering positioning within a hotel environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
- Ability to present findings and train team members on revenue management processes.
- Knowledge of need-time strategies and revenue management techniques.
Level of Education:
Diploma or apprenticeship in Hotel or Hospitality Management.
Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility based on operational needs.
Experience in Months:
At least 24 months (2 years) of experience in Reservations and Revenue Management.
