Job Summary:
We are seeking an Assistant Human Resources Manager to join our Human Resources Team at Jumeirah Saadiyat Island Resort. This role focuses on maintaining HR systems, managing colleague engagement, and supporting various HR functions to foster a positive workplace culture.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) to ensure accurate and timely updates of colleague records.
  • Conduct interviews for positions ranging from entry-level to middle management across all departments, ensuring quality hires.
  • Update and manage both digital and physical employee records, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
  • Coordinate and address colleagues’ accommodation requirements, ensuring comfort and satisfaction.
  • Plan and execute colleague engagement activities to enhance morale and team cohesion.
  • Liaise with government agencies and manage all necessary documentation, licenses, and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee clinic operations, ensuring that colleague health services are accessible and efficient.
  • Maintain and update the resort’s workforce planning tool to assist managers in effective workforce management.
  • Conduct exit interviews to gather insights and feedback from departing colleagues, providing actionable recommendations to management.
  • Coach and counsel colleagues and managers on HR best practices and performance discussions.
  • Support departmental managers during disciplinary meetings and investigations, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies.
  • Ensure continuous development and appraisal of HR team members, fostering an environment of growth and learning.
  • Oversee the colleague cafeteria, ensuring high standards of service and satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with management on special projects and any other reasonable duties as assigned.
  • Monitor and report on HR metrics and KPIs to provide insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with organizational goals and legal requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in a human resources role, preferably within a 5-star hotel or luxury environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills, with experience in developing and mentoring HR staff.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in all HR processes.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and HR best practices in the hospitality industry.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and generate reports.

 

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Experience in Months:

  • 60-96 months (5-8 years) of relevant HR experience in the hospitality sector.
