Job Summary:
The Assistant Manager – Learning & Development (L&D) will oversee all Learning and Development administrative activities, support engagement initiatives, and provide training services across departments at Jumeirah Beach Hotel.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all property Learning & Development administrative activities to ensure smooth operations.
  • Support the delivery and execution of engagement initiatives and activations to enhance team morale.
  • Provide comprehensive Learning & Development services and support to all departments, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Play a key role in data collection, analysis, and action planning related to employee training and development needs.
  • Coordinate and schedule various learning activities, including workshops, seminars, and training sessions.
  • Foster a collaborative work environment with a positive, “can-do” attitude among colleagues.
  • Represent Learning & Development at internal and external meetings and workshops, as required.
  • Assist in identifying and supporting department-specific training needs, in line with Learning & Development leadership.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external training vendors, managing contracts and performance evaluations.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in Learning & Development, sharing insights with the management to enhance training programs.
  • Conduct regular evaluations of training effectiveness and recommend improvements as necessary.
  • Perform any other duties as may reasonably be requested by management and the reporting manager.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited university.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in Learning & Development or Human Resources.
  • Proficiency in Learning Management Systems (LMS) and experience in report generation and analysis.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with a proactive approach to improving training methodologies.
  • Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories is preferred.

 

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Hours:

  • Flexible work hours to accommodate training sessions and organizational needs.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum of 24 months in Learning & Development or related HR roles.
