Job Summary:

The Assistant General Manager at Carbone will support the General Manager in overseeing restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and maintaining operational efficiency. This role includes managing service quality, team training, cost control, and adherence to brand standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily restaurant operations to deliver an outstanding guest experience.
  • Train, motivate, and retain team members, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Oversee financial management, including food and labor cost control and P&L accountability.
  • Manage staffing schedules, ensuring coverage aligns with business needs.
  • Uphold safety and hygiene standards in accordance with company policies.
  • Implement and enforce standard operating procedures and brand guidelines.
  • Resolve guest issues and address service gaps to continuously improve quality.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager on strategic initiatives and business development.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, high-quality dining environment.
  • Strong financial acumen, including P&L management and cost control.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a guest-centric approach.

 

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 72 months in hospitality, with at least 36 months in a similar leadership role, ideally within Italian-American cuisine.
