Job Summary:
We are seeking an ambitious, dynamic, and self-motivated Food & Beverage professional to join our team as an Assistant Director of Food & Beverage / Assistant Food & Beverage Manager. In this role, you will assist in the strategic and operational management of the food and beverage department, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction, quality service, and financial success.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing short and long-term strategies for food and beverage operations.
  • Monitor guest feedback and collaborate with the Director of Food & Beverage to improve service, products, and promotions.
  • Oversee the training and development of food and beverage staff, working closely with the Employee Development Department.
  • Manage payroll, control overtime, and ensure labor costs align with budgeted targets.
  • Provide operational support to outlet managers to ensure high-quality service and adherence to standards.
  • Actively engage with staff and guests during peak service times, maintaining visibility in all outlets.
  • Support the Director of Food & Beverage in forecasting, budgeting, and preparing reports for financial and marketing initiatives.
  • Organize and oversee special events, festivals, and promotions to drive revenue.
  • Monitor industry trends, legislative changes, and competitive landscape to maintain relevance.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations across all food and beverage outlets.
  • Collaborate on the development of new menu concepts and innovative service ideas.
  • Lead pre-shift meetings to communicate goals and operational updates to the team.
  • Assist in resolving guest complaints, ensuring service recovery and positive guest experiences.

 

Requirements:

  • College or university degree in hospitality or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong food and beverage background with knowledge of operational and financial management.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
  • Computer literacy, including knowledge of MS Office, POS systems, and relevant hotel software.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with experience in staff supervision and training.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, managing multiple tasks while maintaining high standards.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with a focus on guest satisfaction and operational efficiency.
  • Knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety standards, and emerging food and beverage trends.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required by the operation.
  • High level of attention to detail, creativity, and passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to drive results, maintain financial discipline, and contribute to the overall profitability of the department.
