Job Summary:
The Food and Beverage Manager is responsible for overseeing all culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service operations. This position ensures guest and employee satisfaction while upholding high standards and exceeding financial goals. The role includes managing budgets, maintaining food and beverage compliance, and developing strategic business plans to drive success across all food and beverage services.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all food and beverage operations, including culinary, restaurant, beverage, and room service.
  • Develop and manage financial, employee engagement, and guest satisfaction plans for all food and beverage departments.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable food and beverage laws and regulations.
  • Lead, coach, and motivate staff, fostering a culture of teamwork, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
  • Set clear performance expectations and provide proactive coaching, feedback, and recognition for team members.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, and ensure staff are trained on safety, hygiene, and service standards.
  • Analyze financial data to maintain a positive cost management index, track productivity, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Monitor guest feedback and resolve any complaints promptly, ensuring exceptional customer service at all times.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure banquet functions and other events exceed guest expectations.
  • Implement sustainability practices in food and beverage operations to reduce waste and improve operational efficiency.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment with company objectives and provide updates on new policies or initiatives.
  • Manage inventory control, supplier relationships, and order processing to ensure high-quality product availability.
  • Uphold brand service culture and ensure consistent quality across all operations.

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED; minimum of 4 years of experience in food and beverage, culinary, or a related field.
  • OR a 2-year degree in Food Service Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major; 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
  • Excellent knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and food and beverage regulations.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports and make data-driven decisions to improve performance.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on delivering exceptional guest experiences.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
