Mechanical, Electrical, Infrastructure and Engineering Section (MEIES)
o Install and maintain different equipment at the station such as Generator Set, Weather Radar, and other automated weather systems applying engineering principles to ensure their reliability and accuracy.
o Performs facility inspections and report on condition affecting operations.
o Support any afterhours building needs and activities as required.
o Prepares and submits summary reports of equipment conditions and recommend actions to be taken.
o Reviews and understands equipment and methods of operation, EH&S, BMS system, fire/life safety, and other systems.
o Ensures prompt resolution of potential hazards through reporting unsafe or adversely impacting environment practices.
o Ensures operations are efficiently maintained by completing project functions on time and budget.
o Performs activities conforming with EH&S Policy, applicable regulatory, company EH&S rules and requirements.
o Assists in accomplishing organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
o Recommends improved EH&S practices to management.
o Monitors the compliance of the plant in safety procedures and requirements.
o Maintain company compliance to city, county, state ordinances and codes.

PAGASA Weather Station
o Provides aeronautical meteorological information including but not limited to: current weather condition and weather outlook within the next specified hours; consistent and accurate weather observations in a punctual manner to the Meteorological Telecommunication Section (MTS); and hourly observation of METAR (Meteorological Aerodrome Report) to NAIA international Airport.
o Performs both METAR and Synoptic Weather Observation to provide general weather conditions (Visibility, Clouds, Humidity, Temperature, and atmospheric pressure) periodically using accurate measurements (computer, weather radar, and automatic weather stations) to collect meteorological data.
o Disseminates weather forecasts, bulletins, and other weather-related information to various interested related parties such as local radio and TV broadcasting stations.
o Prepares and issues weather certifications to clients.
o Conducts Press Briefing at the office of Mayor & lectures as requested by any institutions
o Monitors the chart of the following meteorological instruments (barograph, thermograph, tipping bucket recorder).

Pumps and Pipes Department
o Ensures that all equipment’s in the department run smoothly, reliably, efficiently and safely.
o Inspects malfunction pumps to locate the damage or cause of equipment failure such as blowout packing, misalignment of the pump shaft, slippage of the drive belt, worn bearings, or need for lubrication.
o Disassemble pumps and performs repairs as well as maintenance such as cleaning impellers, repacking stuffing boxes, tightening glands, and replacing bearings, using hand tools.
o Monitors equipment function and ensures operations comply with company’s standards and procedures.
o Reports to Department Supervisor weekly of any updates or status of the equipment at the plant
o Although assigned in Pumps and Pipes Department, became familiar with the process flow of the other departments such as Raw Process Department, Boiler Department (a.k.a Steam Generating Station), Waste Water Treatment Plant, and Mills Department. Thus, able to comprehend how the raw and refined sugar is produced from the raw material – sugarcanes, how the different wastes produced of the varied processes were utilized in the plant, and how the final products are stored.
o Works with employees having different majors, cultures, and backgrounds assigned in different positions of various departments to understand how each phase of the production affects the other. Thus, able to note the importance of each role and know the ones behind the production. Moreover, able to experience and adapt accordingly to work in the environment with people of different personalities, beliefs and fields since one cannot choose who to work with or for in the job.
