I have been working as a senior accountant in the accounts and finance department of AAHE Furniture Trading. I am looking after the whole finance department (UAE region) of the company. Being a senior accountant, I have been entrusted with the following responsibilities:
 Overall supervision of the finance department of the whole UAE region
 Preparation of financial statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
 Preparation of the month end closing financial reports for the management’s internal use and reporting directly to the finance manager in head office – KSA
 Conducting financial analysis regarding the new product lines planned to be introduced by the management and explaining and recommending the pros and cons of such diversifications/introduction of the new products/showrooms.
 Conducting annual audits of the company’s financial statement successfully and without major adjustments by the auditors
 Filing the quarterly VAT returns as required by the UAE VAT laws
 Preparation of the budgets and forecast for each year
 Working under pressure and meeting strict deadlines for the closing of the books of account and for the preparation of the financial reports at each month end.
 Assisting the junior members of my team in the understanding of financial and accounting rules
 The accounts receivable, cash and bank and accounts payables management (working capital management)

I had worked as Senior Audit Associate in the Assurance and Business Advisory Services (ABAS) of Grant Thornton International, Chartered Accountants. During this time span, I have been involved as a team leader and team member in execution of several external statutory audits, internal audits, half yearly reviews, bookkeeping assignments, compliance reviews, internal control system reviews, certifications and other varied audit and agreed upon procedures engagements of various public and private commercial organization and have been entrusted with the responsibilities for:
 Providing advisory services to clients in respect of accounting treatment of complex transactions in light on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), compliance with applicable corporate and tax laws.
 Monitoring and coordination of engagements related to the:
 Planning and execution of external audits and bookkeeping assignments;
 Review of accounting and internal control systems, risk management, controls and governance processes and identification of significant weaknesses recommending improvements therein;

I am a qualified chartered accountant from the Institute Of Chartered Accountants Of Pakistan (ICAP) having 6 years (2 and half years UAE experience and 3 and half years home country experience.
