Experience
PRESIDENT OF THE LIKOMBE POLLING STATION
•As president of the Likombe polling station I was responsible for making sure the election exercise was carried out successfully, free and fair.
• I appointed a secretary who worked with me throughout the entire process.
• I made a report on how the voting exercise was carried out.
• I was responsible for keeping and managing the election materials and documents.
• I declared the poll open for people to exercise their civic rights.
• I cross checked voters cards and recorded their finger prints and signature.
• I was responsible for announcing the closure of the poll and to appoint two scrutineers for the counting exercise.
• I registered the results of the polling station and made my remarks.
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
• I managed and distributed information within the offices of the GCE board by answering phone calls, taking memos and maintaining files.
• I was in charge of sending and receiving correspondence, as well as greeting clients.
• Book keeping. That is, I monitored and recorded expenditure by creating spread sheets to report expenses using Microsoft Excel.
• Planning and Scheduling. That is, I planned events like board meetings and luncheons, scheduled appointments and prepared presentation materials.
• I typed and edited documents and I recorded minutes in meetings.
• Proof reading. That is, I went through both ordinary level and advance level candidate registration forms and crosschecked their personal information to make sure it corresponded with that of their birth certificates and I checked their candidate registration numbers and center numbers to make sure they were no errors.
• I registered all errors and forwarded to the technical department for correction.
• I made a record of the total amount of money paid for each paper by candidates and forwarded to the finance department for verification.
• I arranged registration forms and examination script according to the ten regions of Cameroon.
• I received application forms from teachers who applied to mark the GCE Exam. I checked their certificates and forwarded to the chief of centers.
• I distributed examination materials to various writing centers.
• After the exam has been written, I checked the students answering shit for any suspicious identification sign, I flap folded the candidates personal information before forwarding to the marking room.
• After marking I recount the marks allocation by teachers so as to avoid cheating students or giving them over marks or lesser marks.
• After marking I collected all scripts and took them to the archives of the GCE Board and much more.
