Chaired project design for AED 3.0 Billion Retail development projects including IKEA, ACE & DFC expansion.
Responsibilities:
Manage and coordinate stakeholders, consultants and contractors.
Manage the design development process and design consultants from pre- concept design stage through final design up to construction documentation.
Define Design development Scope and control of design costs by assessing company intrinsic requirements.
Review and ensure completeness of design scope. Assess progress and performance and make recommendations for payments to consultants.
Chair and minute unambiguously an appropriate number and type of coordination meetings, create appropriate correspondence/records of all transactions.
Procurement and verification of acceptable design packages of design documentation for each design stage.
Management of design change. Identify potential design changes before they occur, analyse and assess the implications on cost and time.

ARCHITECT – PROJECT MANAGER
Responsibilities:
Space planning for the retail floor areas based on concepts from specialised Retail Italian Designers, working within public realm elements through approach, Access, signage and visibility of tackled premises and internal fit-outs.
Property selection based on demographic features such as customer foot fall, district and edge character, precinct details, buying capacity, public health and safety, public convenience, parking etc.
Review the market trends for design, lighting and fittings as per retail standards.
Design details and construction drawing preparation, fit to be issued for execution.
Sourcing and ordering of finish materials such as floor tiles, light fittings, shop fittings and specialised design items with economised pricing locally and internationally.
Establish and develop supplier’s world wide for supply of construction materials including visits to their production centres for understanding strengths, weaknesses and opportunities.
Budget and time schedule management, producing detailed specifications of interior fixtures with bill of quantities for overall project works including interior & MEP and estimated capital expenditure in line with the parent company business plan.
Identify, manage and develop resources to meet the requirements of execution of project and identify risk factors with mitigation planning.
Establish and coordinate for the specialised consultancy inputs for MEP works with external consultants and contractors.
Preparation of tender documents as per bill of quantity and scope of work.
Manage, develop and extend relationships with core, existing and potential contractors.
Screen and select the contractors through review of works, interviews and meetings for quoting the tenders.
Hold negotiation meetings with contractors and explain design and scope of work for thorough understanding to all parties.
Awarding Purchase orders with contract condition and facilitating site mobilisation along with cash flow.
Managing the contractual relationship between the company and the contractors.
Holding grounds break meeting at site with all contractors for smooth mobilisation, finalise site meeting schedules and agendas for the course of the project.
