Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager - Banquets is responsible for supporting the Banquet Manager in overseeing the planning and execution of major events such as conferences, conventions, weddings, concerts, and exhibitions. This role ensures events are delivered with excellence, enhancing guest satisfaction, maximizing revenue, and maintaining the hotel's high standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of large-scale events, including weddings, corporate events, and exhibitions.
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and tailor events to exceed expectations.
  • Manage event logistics, including setup, staff coordination, and on-site support.
  • Ensure that banquet operations align with hotel policies, brand standards, and guest satisfaction goals.
  • Work closely with the banquet team to maintain high service standards and smooth event execution.
  • Oversee inventory and resource allocation for banquet events.
  • Liaise with other departments, such as F&B, sales, and housekeeping, to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Support the Banquet Manager in achieving revenue targets and controlling costs.
  • Address any issues or guest concerns during events, ensuring prompt and effective solutions.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong organizational and event management skills.
  • Experience in handling high-profile events, including weddings and corporate functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
  • Proficiency in event management systems such as Fidelio, Delphi, or RESERVE.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

 

Level of Education:

  • Degree or diploma in hospitality management, event planning, or a related field preferred.

Work Hours:

  • Flexibility to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, based on event schedules.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 24 months of experience in banquet operations, event coordination, or a similar role, with a focus on large-scale events. Experience in VIP or Ladies' Weddings is an advantage.
