Job Summary:

The Event Sales Coordinator is responsible for driving business growth by converting leads into successful events. This role involves managing all aspects of event planning, from understanding client needs to ensuring seamless execution. The Event Sales Coordinator will collaborate closely with internal teams to provide exceptional service and exceed client expectations, while also maintaining adherence to company policies and industry regulations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and generate new business opportunities by building and maintaining a customer database.
  • Achieve personal sales targets by converting leads into confirmed events.
  • Conduct site inspections and highlight unique selling points to clients.
  • Prepare tailored event proposals based on client requirements.
  • Plan and manage events using the hotel’s event management system from start to finish.
  • Coordinate group movements and event logistics with close attention to detail.
  • Ensure smooth communication and collaboration with internal departments to guarantee event success.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing client needs and resolving issues promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and hotel policies.
  • Maintain positive relationships with both guests and colleagues to promote a productive work environment.

 

Requirements:

  • Strong passion for the hospitality and events industry, with a desire to learn and grow.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
  • Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in event management software and general computer literacy.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Current knowledge of industry trends and best practices is an advantage.

 

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, events management, or a related field.

Work Hours:

  • Flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed for events.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 24 months (2 years) of experience in event sales or coordination, preferably in the hospitality industry.
