Job Summary:
The Waiter/Waitress is responsible for delivering excellent food and beverage service to guests, ensuring a professional, courteous, and efficient experience. This role requires maintaining high service standards while creating a welcoming environment to maximize guest satisfaction in the restaurant or assigned area of work.
Responsibilities:
- Serve food and beverages to guests promptly and professionally.
- Ensure proper table settings and presentation before each service.
- Take guest orders accurately, offering recommendations when necessary.
- Address guest inquiries, special requests, and dietary preferences.
- Assist with setting up and clearing tables, ensuring cleanliness at all times.
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, including daily specials, and provide detailed information to guests.
- Work closely with the kitchen and bar to ensure seamless service and timely delivery of orders.
- Handle guest complaints or feedback efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Process payments and handle cash and credit card transactions.
- Adhere to health, safety, and hygiene standards in the food service area.
- Assist in training new team members and provide support to colleagues as needed.
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong customer service focus.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service standards and procedures.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in food service.
Level of Education:
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality or Tourism Management is preferred.
Work Hours:
- Flexible working hours, including weekends and holidays.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum 24 months of work experience in hotel or restaurant operations.
