Job Summary:

The Assistant Manager - Reservations is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the Reservations Department in line with corporate strategies and brand standards. This role works closely with the Director of Revenue & Reservations, as well as Marketing, Sales, and other departments to maximize room revenue through inventory control and deliver exceptional guest experiences.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Reservations Management:
    • Assist in overseeing daily operations of the Reservations Department, ensuring smooth and efficient workflow.
    • Support inventory control and room allocation to optimize room yield and maximize revenue.
    • Handle complex booking requests and ensure special guest requirements are met.
  • Revenue Optimization:
    • Collaborate with the Revenue Management team to implement pricing strategies, promotions, and inventory management processes.
    • Monitor room availability and adjust rates in response to market demand and competitor analysis.
  • Customer Service Excellence:
    • Ensure exceptional service delivery by providing clear communication and timely responses to guest inquiries.
    • Address and resolve guest complaints, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Team Leadership and Development:
    • Lead, train, and mentor the reservations team to achieve high performance standards.
    • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing constructive feedback and identifying training needs.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Front Office teams to ensure alignment on group bookings, special events, and promotional offers.
    • Participate in weekly revenue and strategy meetings to contribute to forecasting and performance evaluations.
  • Reporting and Compliance:
    • Generate and analyze reports related to occupancy, room revenue, and market trends.
    • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, financial regulations, and safety standards.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of hotel reservation systems, revenue management, and inventory control processes.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with hotel management software and reporting tools.

 

Level of Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.

Work Hours:

  • Full-time, flexible schedule with potential weekend and holiday shifts.

Experience in Months:

  • Minimum 24 months of experience in a Reservations or Revenue Management role, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
