Job Summary:
The Director of Finance is responsible for overseeing the efficient operation of the Finance and Accounting Division, ensuring financial integrity, accuracy, and compliance with corporate standards. This role involves strategic financial management to support business objectives while maintaining high standards of financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Oversee the preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Hyatt International's financial policies and regulatory standards.
- Manage cash flow, asset management, and working capital to optimize financial performance.
- Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for cost control and revenue enhancement.
- Internal Controls:
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 standards and other applicable financial regulations.
- Team Leadership:
- Manage and mentor the finance team, providing training and development opportunities.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure a high level of productivity and accuracy.
- Audit and Tax Management:
- Coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee tax planning, filing, and compliance in line with local and international regulations.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Provide financial insights and reports to senior management, owners, and relevant stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to align financial goals with operational strategies.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Knowledge of financial management software and ISO 14001 standards.
- Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Level of Education:
- University degree or diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Hospitality/Tourism Management.
- CA certification or equivalent is an advantage.
Work Hours:
- Full-time, including occasional weekends or evenings depending on business needs.
Experience in Months:
- Minimum 24 months of experience as a Director of Finance or Finance Manager in a large-scale operation.
