Job Summary:
The Associate Director of Sales is responsible for managing and leading the sales team while maintaining key accounts. This role focuses on driving business growth, developing new client relationships, and setting strategic goals to achieve sales targets. The position also prepares the candidate for future leadership roles such as Director of Sales.
Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and train the sales team to achieve individual and team sales targets.
- Manage key accounts and develop new business opportunities in line with strategic goals.
- Oversee the recruitment and hiring of sales staff, ensuring a strong and capable team.
- Collaborate with catering and convention services to enhance guest experiences.
- Participate in the development of the annual business plan, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Analyze sales reports, manage P&L statements, and monitor overall sales performance.
- Represent the hotel at business travel events, tradeshows, and networking opportunities.
- Facilitate client entertainment and strengthen relationships with key partners.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales or operations, with a focus on mid-level management.
- Proven leadership and supervisory experience with the ability to train and develop staff.
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in sales systems and reporting tools.
- Excellent customer relations, communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Level of Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field preferred.
Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility for travel, events, and client meetings.
Experience in Months:
At least 36-60 months of experience in hotel sales or operations.
