Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Sales Executive to manage leads and direct client inquiries related to group and banqueting requests, ensuring exceptional client service and maximizing revenue opportunities at Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi.
Responsibilities:
- Handle all incoming leads and direct client inquiries regarding group and banqueting requests, providing timely and accurate information.
- Maintain a close working relationship with clients from the initial proposal stage to onsite coordination during events.
- Collaborate with sales account managers to address corporate or group-related issues, ensuring effective internal communication.
- Review blocked functions weekly to ensure all business on the books is “live,” tracked, and confirmed.
- Ensure all agreements, including group and catering contracts, adhere to established hotel policies and reflect sound commercial judgment.
- Implement credit and collection procedures as established by the hotel, following the Credit Policies & Procedures.
- Create compelling conference and incentive sales proposals to secure business for Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi.
- Develop proficiency in Opera and Envision systems to check reservations, room availability, and function space availability.
- Utilize strong hotel product knowledge and up-selling techniques to enhance client offerings.
- Ensure adherence to booking procedures regarding group room allocations, meeting setups, catering terms, and contractual agreements.
- Execute events innovatively and stylishly, ensuring a positive reflection on the customer’s event and the Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi brand.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales agreements, contracts, and quotes in accordance with hotel procedures.
- Entertain potential and current customers based on business priorities, enhancing relationships and securing future business.
- Participate in site inspections and contribute to marketing initiatives to showcase the hotel’s offerings.
- Understand contribution margins for each product and work collaboratively with department heads to maximize operating results.
- Meet targets for Group Room Nights, Average Rate, Banquet Covers, and revenue as set by the Director of Sales & Marketing and Director of Sales.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in government, weddings, and MICE segments, or a similar role in a luxury international hotel within the UAE.
- Strong understanding of selling techniques and banquet knowledge, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and self-motivation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with Opera and Envision systems preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ideally based in the UAE, with a good understanding of the local market and clientele.
Level of Education:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility to accommodate client needs and event schedules.
Experience in Months:
24 months (2 years) of relevant experience in the luxury hotel sector, specifically within the MICE and banqueting markets.
