Job Summary:
The Director of Marketing & Communications is responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies, demand generation initiatives, and brand communication that align with the hotel's business goals. The role focuses on driving brand awareness, increasing engagement across various channels, and ensuring the successful execution of marketing campaigns that enhance the hotel's financial and customer performance metrics.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to enhance brand positioning and drive demand generation across all hotel segments.
  • Create content-led communication plans that integrate key messaging across digital, social media, and traditional channels.
  • Oversee all internal and external communications, ensuring alignment with brand standards and guest experience goals.
  • Lead the execution of tactical marketing campaigns and promotions, measuring ROI and adjusting strategies to maximize impact.
  • Manage the hotel's social media strategy, driving awareness and engagement through targeted content.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to support Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives and align them with corporate guidelines.
  • Identify partnership opportunities to enhance the hotel's brand visibility through co-branded events and promotions.
  • Monitor and manage the hotel's marketing budget, reconciling expenditures and working with the finance team to ensure alignment with forecasts.
  • Lead efforts in repositioning the hotel, ensuring the brand voice and marketing initiatives reflect the desired image.
  • Partner with Revenue Management to develop and implement promotional strategies that maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Provide in-depth analysis of marketing performance reports to key stakeholders and adjust strategies as needed.

 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in marketing and communications within a 5-star international hotel group or luxury hospitality industry.
  • Strong knowledge of current marketing trends, social media strategies, and digital marketing practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external partners.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and achieving results.
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with a focus on driving team performance and overseeing direct reports.
  • Experience in developing and executing high-impact marketing campaigns with a track record of delivering measurable results.
  • Knowledge of ESG initiatives and experience integrating sustainability into marketing strategies.

 

Level of Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.

Work Hours:
Full-time, with flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events and campaigns.

Experience in Months:
120+ months (10+ years) of marketing and communications experience, with 60+ months (5+ years) in a leadership role in the hospitality industry.
