Job Summary:
The Director of Food and Beverage at Shangri-La Dubai will oversee all aspects of the Food and Beverage Division, ensuring the delivery of exceptional culinary experiences while achieving financial targets. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for hospitality, a commitment to quality, and a strong ability to develop talent within the team.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and foster a strong divisional workplace culture, promoting teamwork and engagement among staff.
  • Develop and manage the annual Food & Beverage budget, forecasts, and comprehensive business plans, ensuring disciplined execution.
  • Lead the execution of strategic initiatives and business plans to achieve financial targets and enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with hotel operational and commercial leaders to align strategies and collect business insights for informed decision-making.
  • Coach and develop divisional leaders and team members, empowering them to operate independently while ensuring high financial and quality outcomes.
  • Identify and recruit top talent in the industry, overseeing effective training, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Maintain open and effective communication within the division and across the hotel to keep stakeholders informed of developments.
  • Drive innovation in service delivery and product offerings, maintaining the highest standards of quality and consistency.
  • Control divisional costs and expenses, seeking innovative solutions to improve financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations, promoting a culture of safety and accountability.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adapt strategies and enhance the hotel’s Food & Beverage offerings.
  • Plan and execute promotional events and initiatives to boost revenue and enhance brand presence.

 

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of luxury hotel experience, particularly within the UAE market.
  • Extensive knowledge of Food & Beverage commerce, including P&L management, ROI analysis, and budgeting.
  • Proven track record in enhancing guest satisfaction scores and delivering high-quality Food & Beverage products and services.
  • Strong understanding of F&B Marketing, including digital marketing strategies and maximizing media channels.
  • Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships within the team and the surrounding community.
  • A leadership style that emphasizes engagement, trustworthiness, and ethical conduct.
  • Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with data analysis tools and performance metrics to drive business decisions.
  • Ability to adapt to changing market conditions and implement innovative ideas to improve service delivery.

 

Level of Education:
Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Work Hours:
Full-time position, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Experience in Months:
60+ months of relevant experience in a senior Food and Beverage management role.
