Job Summary:
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Bartender to join our team at the Pool Bar, Shangri-La Qaryat al Beri, Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will create exceptional beverage experiences for our guests, demonstrating creativity and expertise in mixology, while maintaining high standards of customer service and cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, mocktails, and custom drinks, based on guest preferences.
• Engage with guests to understand their preferences and recommend personalized beverage options.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
• Manage inventory, track supplies, and ensure efficient stock control.
• Ensure timely and efficient service, even during busy periods, while maintaining high service standards.
• Collaborate with the Pool Bar team and other departments to enhance guest experiences.
• Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally, finding quick resolutions.
• Assist with creating new cocktail menus and innovative drink offerings.
• Adhere to responsible service of alcohol protocols and monitor guest consumption.
• Train and mentor junior staff or barbacks to improve overall team performance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a bartender in a high-end or luxury hospitality setting.
• Extensive knowledge of spirits, wines, liquors, and cocktail mixing techniques.
• Excellent customer service skills with a personable and approachable attitude.
• Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
• Certifications in bartending or mixology are an advantage.

Level of Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent; bartending or hospitality certifications preferred.

Work Hours:

• Full-time position with rotating shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Experience in Months:

• Minimum of 12-18 months of bartending experience in a luxury or high-end environment.
