As a waiter I had the privilege of being the first to greet and the last to wish farewell to Hotel guests. A large part of my pride was always presenting an immaculate self and grounds appearance for all guests. While assisting guests was my primary task, my secondary responsibility was maintaining the property to include safe areas of passage and a well-kept appearance. I learned basic landscaping techniques by assisting the ground keeping foreman and it was not uncommon for me to spend the work day on grounds beautification.
As a Waiter in the Hotel I learned excellent interpersonal skills by assisting guests from many different countries and with many different expectations. I know that marinating a property is more than just maintaining the physical grounds it is presenting a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests and employees alike.  It takes teamwork and cooperation from all members for the organization to prosper. At the Hotel I followed directions, continuously learned and worked in all weather conditions, the experience and skills acquired will make me an excellent addition to the Facilities Maintenance Team.
