Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Waiter/Waitress to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience. This role includes interacting with guests, managing food and beverage service, and upholding high standards of hospitality.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and seat guests in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Provide personalized food and beverage service, adhering to hotel standards.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of the menu, offering recommendations and assisting with guest inquiries.
  • Ensure food and drinks are served promptly and meet quality standards.
  • Handle guest complaints and queries with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Perform service preparations before, during, and after shifts, including mis-en-place and cleaning duties.
  • Ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are maintained throughout the restaurant.
  • Upsell food and beverage items to maximize revenue and enhance the guest experience.
  • Monitor and replenish inventory of service equipment, ensuring minimal wastage and breakage.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen and bar teams to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
  • Process guest payments and manage billing accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with banquet or event services when necessary, ensuring seamless service.
  • Contribute to team meetings and provide feedback on ways to improve service.

 

Requirements:

  • Diploma or vocational training in hospitality or food & beverage service.
  • Prior experience as a Waiter/Waitress in a high-volume restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Excellent communication skills with a strong command of English (additional languages are a plus).
  • Ability to handle guest interactions with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and hygiene regulations.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • A passion for hospitality and customer service, with a commitment to creating memorable guest experiences.
