Job Summary:
The Director of Interior Design Projects will lead the execution of all hospitality design projects, ensuring the integrity and excellence of Atlantis Design Standards. This role involves overseeing the design process from concept to completion, ensuring 5-star luxury standards are met across hotels, restaurants, and other hospitality venues. The Director will manage design pitches, presentations, and project management while maintaining client-facing responsibilities and delivering captivating guest experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Conceptualize and develop interior design concepts aligned with project goals and client vision.
• Create master plans, mood boards, sketches, and design proposals to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Lead the design team in detailed development, space planning, and execution of projects.
• Build and maintain strong internal client relationships, ensuring design solutions exceed expectations.
• Review properties, project documentation, and space planning to ensure compliance with local codes and IBC standards.
• Manage CAPEX projects, providing design guidance to operating teams and optimizing guest experience.
• Present design reviews to key executives and ownership, ensuring luxury standards are upheld.
• Drive CAPEX planning initiatives and property improvement projects, including renovations and new construction.
• Oversee design team resources, ensuring successful project delivery and adherence to design excellence.
• Collaborate with sourcing and procurement teams to review design consultant scope and fees.
• Develop RFPs, manage consultant contracts, and ensure quality deliverables at all project stages.
• Monitor and recommend process improvements for enhancing project performance and guest experiences.

Requirements:

• 4-year degree in interior design or architecture from an accredited program.
• 15+ years of experience in design, documentation, and project management, specializing in luxury resorts or large-scale mixed-use developments.
• Expertise in 5-star integrated resort design, including space planning, interior design, FF&E, and materials.
• Experience managing complex teams and large-scale hospitality projects with an emphasis on design excellence.
• Proficiency in project management, organizational, and collaborative skills, ensuring successful project delivery.
• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Design Solutions, and InDesign.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and project goals.
• Financial acumen, analytical skills, and ability to work independently or in teams.
