Job Summary:
As an Assistant Outlet Manager, you will support the Outlet Manager in overseeing daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring efficient, personalized, and timely service. You will be responsible for coordinating the team, maintaining high standards, and ensuring guest satisfaction, creating an environment that encourages guests to return.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Distribute tasks among the team and ensure multi-skilling across roles.
  • Conduct briefings and ensure key information is communicated to staff.
  • Oversee point-of-sale preparation to maintain high standards.
  • Take and process guest orders, ensuring correct usage of equipment.
  • Manage guest flow, table placement, and reservations based on business levels.
  • Monitor quality and speed of service, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Adhere to par stock levels and manage inventory of equipment and supplies.
  • Assist in organizing food promotions and special events in collaboration with the Outlet Manager.
  • Maintain the daily logbook and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  • Assist in staff scheduling and roster planning to handle varying business levels.
  • Supervise end-of-day closing procedures and ensure a safe, hazard-free environment.
  • Handle guest inquiries courteously, escalating complaints when necessary and ensuring follow-up.
  • Establish a rapport with guests, ensuring a warm and professional experience.
  • Check the cleanliness and quality of all equipment and service materials, including glassware and cutlery.
  • Monitor the quality of food and beverages served, ensuring standards are met.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Hotel or Restaurant Management or equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1 year in a similar role within a five-star hotel.
  • Certifications: HACCP certified.
  • Skills:
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
    • Strong communication and leadership skills.
    • Ability to handle pressure and work independently or in teams.
    • Decision-making and disciplinary management capabilities.
    • Excellent product knowledge and ability to implement checklists.
    • Familiar with HACCP controls and best practices.
