Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert is responsible for creating a memorable dining experience by delivering exceptional service and managing various guest interactions. This role involves a combination of serving food and drinks, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring that all guest needs are met promptly and professionally.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Welcome and greet guests in a warm and friendly manner, setting the tone for a positive dining experience.
  • Take food and beverage orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen and bar staff.
  • Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper presentation and portion sizes.
  • Assist in setting and clearing tables, maintaining cleanliness throughout the dining area.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and address any concerns or issues promptly to ensure a positive experience.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate timely service and address special requests or dietary restrictions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including regular cleaning and sanitization of dining and service areas.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations, ensuring a safe dining environment for both guests and staff.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions to improve service quality and teamwork.
  • Assist in managing inventory of supplies and equipment, reporting any shortages or maintenance needs to supervisors.
  • Promote specials and menu items to enhance guest experience and drive sales.
  • Uphold company policies and procedures, including those related to quality standards, professional appearance, and communication.

 

Requirements:

  • Education:
    • High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Less than 1 year of related work experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
  • Skills:
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
    • Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attributes:
    • Positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service.
    • Team player who is willing to support colleagues and work collaboratively.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods; navigate over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
    • Capable of lifting and carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds without assistance and 50 pounds with assistance.
    • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Other Requirements:
    • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Previous experience in a similar role or environment is a plus.
    • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service is advantageous.
