Job Summary:
The Guest Environment Expert is responsible for ensuring that the hotel’s environment is clean, inviting, and well-maintained to provide an exceptional guest experience. This role involves a variety of housekeeping tasks, contributing to the overall comfort and satisfaction of our guests.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Clean and maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas, adhering to company standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or services.
  • Stock and organize housekeeping carts to ensure all necessary supplies are readily available.
  • Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the management team immediately.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure quality standards are met.
  • Assist with laundry duties, including washing, drying, and folding linens and towels.
  • Support the training and onboarding of new housekeeping staff as needed.
  • Implement environmentally sustainable practices, such as proper disposal of waste and use of eco-friendly cleaning products.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of guest information at all times.
  • Participate in team meetings and provide feedback to improve housekeeping processes and guest satisfaction.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: Previous housekeeping or custodial experience is an advantage but not required.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods, including lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Personal Qualities: Positive attitude, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Supervisory Experience: None required, but leadership potential is a plus.
  • License/Certification: None required; certifications in cleaning or hospitality are beneficial.
  • Technical Skills: Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies; familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
