Job Summary:
The Guest Service Expert is responsible for creating a memorable dining experience by delivering excellent service throughout the guest’s meal. This role involves setting tables, serving guests, ensuring smooth communication with the kitchen, and maintaining a clean and professional work environment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Set and arrange tables to company standards before guest arrival.
  • Take orders, deliver food and beverages, and ensure accuracy in service.
  • Communicate with the kitchen to address any guest requests or special needs.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area, including refilling beverages, resetting tables, and cleaning up after guest departures.
  • Assist with inventory control, ensuring proper stock levels of supplies and linens.
  • Handle guest complaints and provide immediate solutions to enhance the overall guest experience.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining cleanliness and food hygiene at all times.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations, assisting in other areas when necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and follow uniform standards.
  • Stand, walk, and move continuously during shifts, including lifting objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and training to improve service quality.

 

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication skills, the ability to multitask, and a guest-first mindset.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, bend, reach, and perform physical tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Attention to detail, teamwork, problem-solving abilities, and a positive, friendly demeanor.
  • Supervisory Experience: None.
  • License/Certification: Food safety certification preferred but not mandatory.
