Job Summary:
Prepare and cook food according to recipes and standards, ensuring quality and food safety.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing food; wash and peel fruits and vegetables.
- Cook food following recipes, quality, and presentation standards. Operate kitchen equipment like ovens, stoves, grills, and fryers.
- Monitor food quality during preparation, ensuring proper portions and testing for doneness.
- Set up and break down workstations; maintain cleanliness of kitchen, tools, and equipment.
- Follow safety policies and report maintenance issues or unsafe conditions. Maintain professional appearance and communication, and work collaboratively with team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year.
- Supervisory Experience: None.
- License or Certification: None.
