Job Summary:
The role involves preparing and cooking meals according to recipes and standards, maintaining food quality, and ensuring proper food storage and preparation techniques. This position requires adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with kitchen staff and management.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals as per recipes, ensuring proper portioning, presentation, and garnishing.
  • Regulate cooking equipment temperatures and monitor food quality.
  • Pull food from storage and ensure proper thawing and preparation.
  • Communicate with staff during busy periods and inform them of specials and out-of-stock items.
  • Maintain food logs and ensure adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Assist in hiring, training, and motivating staff; act as a role model.
  • Follow company policies, report maintenance needs, and ensure uniform and personal appearance are professional.
  • Address guest needs and maintain positive team relationships.
  • Stand, sit, walk, and lift objects up to 25 pounds as required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Related Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a similar role.
  • Supervisory Experience: None required.
  • License or Certification: None required.
