Job Summary:

Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring proper food presentation, portioning, and garnishing. Assist with preparing special meals, monitoring kitchen stock, and maintaining logs for food safety. Support team collaboration and uphold food quality standards.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise cooks and workers, ensuring food is prepared, portioned, and presented correctly.
  • Create decorative food displays and monitor the quantity of food prepared.
  • Inform service staff of menu specials and items out of stock.
  • Assist cooks with tasks and provide necessary kitchen supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and notify management of any issues with food quality.
  • Assist management with hiring, training, and coaching kitchen staff.
  • Ensure adherence to safety, security, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean, professional appearance and foster positive relationships with the team.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Supervisors, including moving or lifting objects up to 25 pounds.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education: Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • Experience: 4 to 6 years of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
  • License or Certification: None required.
