Job Summary: As General Manager you will manage the day to day leadership and direction of the hotel, maximising on sales and revenue and driving financial returns. You’ll take ownership of the development of your people, execute on brand standards and build awareness of the hotel and brand within the local area.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in Hotel Administration, Business Administration.
• Five to ten years’ of prior hotel management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience required may vary based on size and complexity of operation.
• Must speak fluent English.
• Other languages preferred.

Responsibilities:

People

• Implement programs to boost team engagement in line with the hotel's service philosophy.
• Develop and monitor succession plans for team members to ensure future leadership.
• Set performance goals, mentor, coach, and provide regular feedback to improve team performance.
• Manage HR actions in line with company policies.

Guest Experience

• Ensure compliance with brand and service standards.
• Focus on improving guest satisfaction scores.
• Collaborate with teams to deliver services that exceed guest expectations.
• Engage with guests, gather feedback, and build relationships.

Financial

• Prepare and forecast annual budgets for capital, cash flow, and sales.
• Analyze financials to drive revenue, profitability, and ROI.
• Leverage technology and distribution channels to increase market share and revenue.
• Lead capital projects and work with owners to enhance the property's market position.

Responsible Business

• Ensure guest, team, and asset safety.
• Act as a PR representative to promote the hotel locally.
• Encourage team involvement in community initiatives.
• Develop plans to reduce the hotel's carbon footprint.
• Perform additional duties, including acting as manager on duty.
