I have worked within a school-based setting for the past ten years and over that time I have gained a wealth of knowledge centered around the education system and the local education authority. I was based within the classroom for a number of years before transitioning to a Wellbeing role. My background working in education started in the Early Years Foundation Stage, working in Nursery and reception classes. My degree is Early Childhood Studies, this degree together with my classroom experience has given me a wealth of knowledge.

I am a vital member of the pastoral team, centered around the child, and daily, I log and respond to incidents on CPOMS. I make safer referrals, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the most vulnerable children in my care.

I have a sound understanding of legislation and follow attendance procedures daily. I do this by having positive, ongoing relationships with families, carrying out home visits and making referrals to the ACC when appropriate.
