Scope and General Purpose of Job :
To ensure the efficient and economic operation of the Engineering Department in support of all other operating Departments, supplying services as required to the entire operation, and maintaining equipment, building, and grounds in optimum condition.
Main Duties :
Financial :
1. To assume full responsibility for the cost-effective operation of the POMEC Department.
2. To prepare the annual and revised POMEC budget in close cooperation with the Financial Controller and management, commensurate with operational requirement of the property.
3. To keep accurate records and monitor closely all POMEC budget expenditures and to ensure that the budget is adhered to and costs strictly controlled.
4. To allocate and countersign all invoices chargeable to the POMEC budget before being processed and charged.
5. To establish an efficient system for the control and verification of all fuel deliveries to the premises.
Operational:
1. To supervise closely all engineering personnel in the performance of their duties.
2. To delegate duties and responsibilities, as required, to the Assistant Engineer(s).
3. To develop and implement a comprehensive Preventive Maintenance Program for all equipment in the hotel, including kitchen and laundry.
4. To coordinate and, if so requested, supervise special projects and employment of outside contractors.
5. To establish a well organized Engineering Store and keep close control on consumption of material, stores, and inventory control.
6. To implement a comprehensive elevator emergency procedure and initiate employee training on emergency release procedures with the elevator manufacturer’s agent.
7. To inspect, at least twice monthly, the entire building with particular attention on defective or deficient life safety features and to observe closely the condition of all operating equipment.Specific attention must be placed on not to omit areas of difficult access.
8. To advise management on all matters of potential improvement to the operation.
9. To assist the general stores with suggestions for the most economic purchase of parts and consumables and to write clear and concise purchase requests for such items.
10. To conduct training courses for hotel personnel in life safety and fire fighting, in conjunction with the Human Resources Department.
11. To be knowledgeable of statutory legislation in employment and industrial relations.
Energy Management:
1. To control and monitor closely all utility consumption, and to ensure optimum energy usage by all departments in the Hotel.
2. To observe energy efficiency of all equipment, forwarding to management suggestions for replacement of energy inefficient equipment and to report to management all wastage of energy.
Repair and Maintenance:
1. To assume full charge of building maintenance and guestroom and public area rehabilitation.
2. To establish a regular planned guestroom servicing program in accordance with Company standards.
3. To supervise maintenance of gardens and grounds, including road surfaces.
Life Safety:
1. To be fully responsible for the implementation of all company Life Safety procedures
2. To assume overall responsibility for the perfect functional condition of all alarm systems and fire fighting equipment.
Administration:
1. To be fully in charge and responsible for the smooth function of the Department’s administration and maintenance of an efficient filing system.
2. To make sure that all documents related to the operation of the department are being kept up to date and that all records are correctly maintained and filed.
3. To assume full responsibility for the preparation and timely submittal of all reports.
4. To maintain a comprehensive library of manuals and parts list of all operational equipment, as well as a complete set of up to date drawings of all areas and systems

1. Job Purpose:
Delivering business solutions supporting large strategic capital projects (>USD50MM) in Gebze meeting agreed timelines/budget/scope from project initiation to hand-over.
Responsible for leading the effort on equipment installation and testing through different project stages defined in Project Commissioning Plan.
2. Major Accountabilities:
2.1. Delivering engineering solutions to the project as per agreed timeline and within budget, by managing IFF project resources and external parties.
2.2.
