My name is Jacques Noel Nourian.
I am a passionate and experienced physics teacher based in the UAE.
I have learned fondly of your school and its forward-looking vision of nurturing the curious young minds of its students to embody the tenets of leadership, creativity and global thinking.
It is in that regard that I would be honored to become a valued member your renowned institution and proactively contribute to its goals.
During my many happy years as an educator in both Lebanon and the UAE, including with major international schools such as SABIS and Dubai International School, I have garnered substantial professional experience by taking initiative and assuming several roles, including:
- Teaching secondary school physics with emphasis on mechanics, optics, electricity, magnetism, thermodynamics, nuclear, and atomic physics

- Managing up to 7 different classes simultaneously in several schools from the 7th grade up to the 12th grade

- Educating 12th grade students in advanced placement physics so they can earn university credits prior to commencing their college education

- Designing comprehensive curricula for physics classes across many different grades

- Leading the preparation of exam content for the nation-wide annual physics exams for a variety of schools

- Conducting after-hour sessions at school for students seeking to empower their understanding and passion for physics
My teaching style requires me to take the initiative to inspire and motivate my students to strive to continuously keep learning, contribute productively to society, and in effect become the best versions of themselves; all of which I believe aligns with your schools’ philosophy.
I have even demonstrated the ability to make physics interesting to students who would have otherwise not considered these fields to be appealing at all. All this was possible due to my interpersonal skills and my penchant for making my courses interactive and fun for all my students (this includes showing the practical benefits of physics to my students with intriguing experiments during our lab sessions). My former and current students always thank me for inspiring them and that in itself is the greatest reward I could ever receive.
