I am currently an Early Years Nursery Manager/Cache trainer, and I have been working in the UAE for 8 years, before this I worked in management (Early Years and youthwork and adult training), in the United Kingdom, across a wide area of different roles. I
I have extensive experience within the Early Years sector, drawn from both qualifications and experience over a 20-year period, working with children from birth to 19 years. I have in depth knowledge of child development, child theorists, and many curriculums, including the Early Years Foundation Stage, as well as safeguarding and health and safety. I have valuable experience in the Middle East and the UK, which has been obtained through a wide variety of roles which range from teaching in Early Years, Playwork and adult education, and include a wealth of experience in management across all these sectors. I am fully upto date with the current guidelines from the Ofsted/MOE/KHDA/Dubai Municipality and DHA in relation to managing early years settings in the Middle East, as well as legislation and current updates in the UK.
I have a wide variety of qualifications, which I have gained over this period, which include Management and Leadership, Early Years, Playwork, and teaching and learning in education. I am currently undertaking my professional formation to obtain my QTLS (Qualified Teaching and Learning Status) with Society of Education (SET) in the UK, which should be completed sometime in the future. I also hope to complete a qualification in Internal quality assurance (IQA).
I have excellent communication skills, and a friendly warm outgoing personality, which enables me to build effective relationships with parents, staff and children from all nationalities. I am flexible, and adaptable, and always work to extremely high standards, to ensure that quality standards are always maintained.
