• Start up the machine and conduct proper machine warm-up.

• Responsible for taking care of the radiation protection devices.

• Assist in the Machine Preventive Maintenance.

• Conduct a daily assessment of the machine and inform immediately the nursing manager and

the engineer of any unusual error observed.

• Acquires necessary patient information from the chart, system, or nurse on duty.

• Logs the daily census of cases and patients in the unit.

• Ensure proper radiation protection measures were followed by the members of the team.

• Uses radiation according to the standard of ALARA.

• Assists interventionalist before, during, and after the procedure.

• Maximize the machine's capacity of producing quality images necessary for the procedure by reconstruction.

• Administer the correct type and amount of contrast according to the laboratory results of the patient.

• Responsible for filing or inventory of medical supplies and radiographs.

• Assist during code emergencies.

• Report to the Nursing Manager and direct supervisor.

• Responsible for training and lectures of newly hired radiologic technologists and nurses.

• Communicate with other departments when deemed necessary.

• Informs patients and relatives of the nature of the procedure.
