I am a principal engineering geologist with over 20 years of experience in the field of geotechnical engineering. I have a broad generalist skill set in both soil and rock mechanics and expertise in the fields of large and complex site investigations, slope stability, tunnel engineering, tailings dams, water storage dams and hydropower.

I am based in South Africa but have worked extensively throughout the African continent, with some experience in the Middle East and Australia. I specialise in leading geotechnical teams on large design and construct projects, with involvement throughout the entire lifecycle of the project, from the site investigation phase through to construction supervision.

Through developing trusting relationships with internal colleagues and external clients, as well as initiating novel and innovative approaches to technical problems, I have contributed to developing new revenue streams for the teams I work with.  I am a thoughtful leader, experienced in motivating and managing high-performing teams, with a reputation for investing time to meaningfully mentor and develop teammates.
