I am a qualified, inspirational and hardworking professional. My specialization is in Art and design having graduated from Kenyatta University with a bachelor’s degree in Fine Art. I also have a vast experience teaching Art and design in the British curriculum for more than 15 years.

I am able to independently and confidently prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans that derive from the set assessment objectives for my art lessons.

I believe in giving individual attention to my students of art in order to bring out creativity and originality expected in their art works. My strong class presence enables me to instill discipline and hold the attention of my pupils.

I possess excellent subject knowledge of Art and Design and its application outside the classroom, in our daily lives and I look for relationships between art and other subjects.

My approach of not only being a teacher but a mentor to my pupils enables me to create trust in a short time and I am always happy to see them confidently present their ideas without fear of criticism.

I have also been in the leadership arena for the last 6 years, working as the Principal at Angels Leadership Academy and later as Dean of Studies at Greenwood Grove International School.

In my tenure I have seen weak and undisciplined students raise standards and improve remarkably.

I have also seen teachers that were demotivated become team players. All these achieved by strategic, targeted talks and positive reinforcement.

Presently I am looking for a challenging position in a well-established school that has clear ethos, stable staff team and high expectations of all their pupils and teachers.
