• Medicines Information Pharmacist - a role where simple to complex medication queries from consultants of all specialities, speciality nurses, doctors, pharmacists and patients must be researched using quantitative and qualitative techniques within a set time frame to benefit patients or a service.
• Informatics Pharmacist – involved with the administrative and demonstrative application of the Trust wide integrated prescribing and IT system named Lorenzo.
• Responsible for organising information used for the Out Of Hours (OOH) service for all pharmacists in the Trust – includes specialist mental health medication advice and administration advice.
• Aseptics pharmacist – responsible for checking and performing dosage calculations, handling Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN), chemotherapy, cytotoxic and parenteral medication to patients.
• Involved in developing and producing departmental policies, clinical guidelines and procedures used in the pharmacy department.

• Offered pharmaceutical services to the hospital out of hours (OOH). OOH service involved independent working on site overnight, which sometimes involved clinical decisions to the highest level in sometimes acute scenarios at any hour of the day/night.
• Education and training for nurses and junior doctors – was part of the education and training group for junior doctors, and provided an education session based on anticoagulation, diabetes and general pharmaceutical prescribing.
• Completed audits for Clinical Governance surrounding the supply of Control Drugs to wards in the hospital.

PHARMACY CAREER HIGHLIGHTS/SUMMARY
• Invited speaker: Invited to present an educational talk for regional trainee pharmacists (North West UK) regarding respiratory based conditions and medications for its treatment (September 2017, November 2018).
• Core member of the pioneering Complex Respiratory MDT – invited membership by the respiratory consultant.
• Compiled a database for medications stored between 2oC – 8oC. Information from this database is used to identify and isolate medication following temperature excursions.
• Performed clinical research for the clinical use of inhalers used during exacerbation of COPD, findings of this research is used across the Trust as guidance for respiratory conditions with the associated inhaler.

Through work in various different Hospital Trusts, I have gained experience in a range of specialities and wards, including Respiratory, Care of the Elderly, General Surgery, Orthopaedics, Cardiology, Anticoagulation, Aseptics, Endocrine, Children’s Medicine and Neonatal Intensive Care.

Having worked on medical and surgical admissions units, I have also exhibited adaptability when facing new and constantly changing clinical and team environments. I have the aptitude to be allocated a position in a team and utilise my skills and experience to benefit the team. This is due to the confidence in my knowledge developed through constant practice and studying. By having confidence in my knowledge, I am able to deal with clinical and practical issues that may arise in an acute setting where solutions are needed within a short period of time.
