 Studying datasheet and understanding the requirements.
 Preparing the drawings for a special end to end and end
connection like (RF, FF, Butt weld end, Socket weld end,
Threaded end, Lap Joint Flange, RTJ) a per ASME B16.5,
B16.25& B16.9.
 Preparing the calculation, drawing, and analysis for new Cv and
characteristic as per customer requirements.
 Checking the body material withstand design pressure and design
temperature with ASME B16.34
 Comparing the selected actuator thrust with valve thrust.
 Preparing the General Assembly Drawings (GAD) for customer
approval.
 Preparing the Bill of Materials (BOM) as per customer
requirements.

*Actuator for valve
 Coordinate with Application Engineer, sizing the actuator based
on customer specifications.
 Developing a pneumatic actuator (diaphragm & piston cylinder)
single acting or double acting, manual actuator and gear operated
manual actuator (worm & bevel) based on customer requirement.
 Developing the conceptual design by using SOLIDWORKS
(modeling software).
 Selecting the materials based on the service application.
 Preparing the design calculations to verify the design considering
standards like ASME, JIS, IS& ISO.
 Estimating the product cost and review meeting with planning,
quality and production teams.
 Preparing the GAD for customer approval.
 Preparing the detailed drawing of components (Drafting) and Bill
of Materials (BOM) for a prototype.
 Preparing the assembly and testing procedures for the product.
 Validating the product by Load test, cyclic test, and Functional
test.
 Review meeting with the production team regarding the problems
faced during assembly.
 Preparing the Instructions and Operational Manual (IOM) for the
product and maintaining the design and development records.
