Career History

1971-1976: 5 years Curriculum studies in Rural and Survey Engineering department of AUTH. 300 ECTS=BSc+MSc. Begins building his experience in Univac 1106 mainframe computers programming in Assembly, FORTRAN and COBOL

 

1976: Takes his MSc degree in Rural and Survey Engineering from AUTH, Greece. Becomes chartered Professional Rural and Survey Engineer from Technical Chamber of Greece with unlimited rights in the design and construction of geodetic, surveying, cadastral, civil infrastructure, Earthworks, Heavy Civil and Transportation Projects. In RC/Steel Civil Structural design and construction projects has rights in buildings up to 10m height and bridges up to 10m span. Founds with John Chatzinikolaou the company EXANTAS SA Consulting Engineers (an E' Grade [highest is Z] Design and Consultancy Greek Company), investing the 25% of the company’s capital. Becomes member of the company’s steering committee and Director of the Surveys, Infrastructure and Transportation department.

 

5/1979-11-2013: In 1980 is Married with Civil Engineer Mary Beligianni (class 78) and leaves her, under his directions, in his place in Exantas SA and

 

From 9/1979 – 5/2011: In 9/1979 until 1984 signs consequently 1 year contracts for consultancy services with the Public Power Corporation SA (mines/hydro/coal/gas/solar/wind power/Distribution Grid Net company with 35000 employees), and after 1984 signs indefinite project which he terminated in 5/2011. Initially engaged in the planning, the designs and the kick-off of Aliveri Plaka Underground and Open-Pit mine, the Kardia, Aminteo and South Section Mines and Outside Dumps,  along with their Infrastructures and Facilities: Land expropriations, Planning, Design, and construction Aminteo Plant Units I, II 2X300MW, the Agios Dimitrios Units I,II and Megalopolis Unit IV. After 1989 became the Head of PPC Surveys and Infrastructures for the Mines and the Plants, responsible for the Mines production management,  the Expropriations, Company's Real Estate assets management, Roads and Infrastructures for the South Greece Area of Peloponnisos. Handled land development and infrastructures projects for the Plants and Mines within an area of 200 km2 with a total budget of 5 billion euro in these 22 years. In May 2011 after completed 32 years of services in PPC SA retired according to the law to take his pension from this position. Not but what continues working with Exantas SA.

During 1979 to 2013, with the help of his wife, remained active in free market, with "Exantas SA". Exantas Surveys and Infrastructures Design Department, during this period provided significant consulting services in more than 70 Big Construction Companies  and Greek Government on, IT, bespoke surveys, civil, design and construction projects like Highways (totally >350km), Water Supply Networks - Sewerage (>70km), Railways (>160km), Ports (2 big and 7 marinas), drainage, earth moving etc and handled infrastructure projects like gas plants, solar, wind and hydro-power dams with a total budget of 4 billion euro. At November of 2013 Exantas SA closed it’s activities in the Market.

After '91 was also activated in environmental measurements to redact the environmental studies for many mines, plants, quarries, large earthworks, highways, water supply networks, sewage, river diversions, dams etc and take the government licenses for the operation/ construction of these units/projects.

From Nov. 2013 until May 2016, was working in Saudi Arabia with AECOM in KSA, as Head of Surveys and Site Management providing geodetic advice improving the Project Management from the pretender stage to the handover of many projects in Jizan Economic City Project Initiative (JECPI) and Riyadh King Khaled International Airport (KKIA) Expansion Program with total budget of $ 38 billion.

 

From May 2016-present undertakes consultancy sub-contracts in surveys and different infrastructure programs.

 

1. It was mentioned that our company "Exantas SA JV" was an E' degree Design and Consultancy Company. This means engagement with many projects each time. This forced us, in our attached CV, for space-saving, to sort and describe only the most important projects, between 1990-today, in a way to give an as complete as possible picture of our multidiscipline experience. In turn, in the same time with these major projects, were developing many minor like for example surveys, cadastral, Designs, (Highways, Rails, Dams, Drainage, Waste management, Water Supply, environmental etc) IT projects and construction consultancy.
