Senior Accountant
-Managing the payables function of group companies by ensuring appropriate invoice posting, vendor account reconciliation,prioritizing and processing the payments in accordance with company policies and procedures.
-Leading the payable team of contracting and servicing companies.
-Approving and ensuring that expenses are posted in the relevant projects and within the budget limits.
-Review & approval of purchase orders by ensuring that payments terms and specific project related conditions are strictly followed.
-Working closely with Project controls team in reconciling project cost & providing relevant reports as requested by them.
-Preparing project wise costing reports by comparing material, labor and overheads consumed with budgeted amounts and reporting the differences to the concerned project controlling manager for efficient cost control and utilization of resources.
-Making project expenses payable plan twice a month to manage the CashFlow availability and maintaining the suppliers credit limits for timely delivery of materials and to avoid any late payments penalty.
-Managing the receivables function by ensuring appropriate sales invoicing as per customer contracts and ensuring appropriate follow-up for long outstanding receivables.
-Making monthly closing of group companies by ensuring all month end adjustments ( depreciations,accruals, bank reconciliation statements,prepayments amortization, depreciation,inventory valuation,
payroll allocation,contract revenue recognition & foreign exchange gain/losstreatment etc.)have beenaccounted for properly in accordance with company’s policy and requirements of IFRS.
-Preparing monthly/quarterly/half yearly/annual management reports containing cashflow projections,ageing analysis of debtors and creditors, budgeted and actual breakeven trend, variance analysis of revenue and expenses and a comprehensive profitability analysis and presenting them to Chairman & Directors.
-Involve in periodic budget preparation activities by giving output in terms of identified variances in past period,current resources constraints,cost cutting suggestions and new plans/improvements that will impact the future cost and revenue.
-Dealing with bank for different financing arrangements like LCs,Guarantees etc. and coordinating with auditors (external and internal) for their queries and timely execution of audit as per the audit plan.
-Evaluating internal control system, identifying control deficiency,duplication,fraud or non-compliance with policies and making appropriate recommendations to the management.
-Assistance in VAT reconciliations for input and output tax as per the law and guidelines issued by the Federal Tax Authority.
